Coupland is the small farm town between Manor, Taylor and Hutto on FM 1466, with historic homes in town, farms and ranches on the county roads, and new acreage subdivisions filling in toward Highway 79.
Coupland is our backyard. The town itself has a few hundred homes, many of them 1900s to 1950s houses with steep pitches, original decking and roofs that have been re-covered several times, and the land around it is Blackland Prairie farms with metal roofs on the houses, barns and shops. The last few years have added acreage subdivisions along FM 1466 and toward 79 with new custom and builder homes, mostly shingle, on lots with no trees and nothing between the roof and the weather.
That exposure is the Coupland roof problem. Wind crosses the prairie at full strength and lifts shingles, ridge caps and metal laps; hail on the Manor to Taylor track hits Coupland squarely; and the summer sun bakes shingles on roofs that never had real ventilation. Coupland is a small incorporated city, and we confirm the permit requirement for any re-roof inside the limits. Metal is the traditional roof here and still the right answer for most farm and ranch properties, and we roof the house and the outbuildings together.

Roof replacement, shingles, metal and inspections
New roofs installed to the manufacturer spec, not the builder spec, with the underlayment, flashing and ventilation that make a roof last in Central Texas heat and hail.
A Coupland replacement is usually a tired metal roof on a farmhouse or barn, done as new standing seam or R-panel and often as a retrofit over the old panels, or a layered shingle roof on a historic home stripped to the deck and rebuilt with new decking, flashing and a Class 4 shingle nailed for wind.
Shingle roofing in Coupland is the new acreage homes along FM 1466 and the historic homes in town: a Class 4 shingle nailed with six nails, synthetic underlayment, sealed edges and real ventilation, because the prairie wind tests every shortcut.
Metal is the Coupland roof. We repair and re-fasten older R-panel and tin, replace split panels, and install new standing seam and R-panel on houses, barns and shops, often retrofitted over the old roof.
Coupland is adding acreage subdivisions and barndominiums, and we roof new homes, shops and barns along FM 1466 and the county roads in shingle or metal, coordinated with the builder or owner-builder.
Free inspections in Coupland are often on farm properties changing hands, where the roof age is anyone's guess. We walk every building, check the attic where there is one, and give you photos and a straight answer per roof.
Coupland roof repair is wind and old roofs: shingles and ridge caps gone off exposed homes, laps and fasteners loose on farm metal, and chimney and valley flashing on the historic houses in town. We repair what let go, nailed and fastened for wind, and tell you honestly how much life the roof has.
Coupland leaks are rusted fasteners on metal, worn valleys and chimney flashing on the old homes, and split boots on the new acreage builds. We trace from the attic and fix the entry point.
Coupland sits squarely on the hail track from Manor to Taylor. We inspect shingle and metal roofs after every storm, photograph bruising and split panels with the storm date, and explain plainly how metal claims and cosmetic dent exclusions work.
Wind damage is the most common Coupland call: ridge caps and courses gone off exposed shingle roofs, laps and panels lifted on metal. We repair nailed and fastened for wind, building by building.
Coupland claims are hail and wind on both shingle and metal. We document honestly, meet the adjuster, and explain where a metal policy treats cosmetic dents differently from actual damage.
Commercial metal roofing in Coupland is ag: grain, equipment and livestock buildings, plus the shops in town. We re-fasten, reseal, replace panels, and install new R-panel or retrofits.
We look, photograph and explain before anything is sold.

FAQ
Coupland Roofing FAQs
Do you really come out to Coupland for small jobs?
Yes. Coupland is a few minutes from us and a small repair gets looked at within a day or two.
Should a Coupland farmhouse go metal or shingle?
Metal for most farm and ranch properties, for the wind and the hail and because it lasts. On the historic homes in town it depends on the house, and we price both.
Can you roof the house and the barn together?
Yes. We set up once, roof every building in one run, and price each separately.
